Wed 5th Sep 2018 - Ei Group unveils 11th managed JV, with Urban Pubs and Bars Ei Group unveils 11th managed JV, with Urban Pubs and Bars: Ei Managed Investments, the Ei Group business that invests alongside industry-leading managed house operators, has launched its 11th venture – Urban Pubs and Bars Two, a partnership with Nick Pring and Malcolm Heap, the founders of Urban Pubs & Bars. The Paradise by Way of Kensal Green, the Royal Oak in Harlesden, and the Rose Pub & Kitchen in New Cross will be Urban Two’s first three pubs. They previously operated as part of Urban Pubs & Bars and are Ei Group sites. The pubs will continue to operate in exactly the same format, with each having its own “individual style catering to the needs of the local area”. Heap said: “Having worked with Ei Group for many years we are delighted to be partnering with its managed investments business. Our team is passionate about food and drink and we look forward to exploring new areas in London.” Nathan Wall, operations director for Ei Managed Investments, added: “Ei Managed Investments goes from strength to strength, partnering with some of the country’s most exciting managed house operators. We’ve worked closely with Nick and Malcolm for years and are delighted to be able to combine forces for Urban Pubs and Bars Two.” Managed Investments has grown rapidly since its launch in May 2015. Its other partners include Rupert Clevely, with Hippo Inns; Karen Jones, with Frontier Pubs; Laine Pub Company, with Mash Inns; Oakman Inns and Restaurants, with Hunky Dory Pubs; and Ben Stackhouse, with PubLove.
